This chest of drawers belongs to the Belle Époque — the “Beautiful Era” — period from 1871 to 1914, during which Italy reinterpreted its rich Baroque heritage with new decorative energy. The artistic style is Baroque — more precisely, its 19th-century Neo-Baroque iteration, where masters of the Historicism era reinterpreted the 17th–18th century bombe form, curved fronts, and walnut burl veneer tradition.

Demi-lune — the semi-circular shape — is one of the most exquisite architectural solutions in European furniture art.
