Élevé et lourd, son dossier déploie une magnifique sculpture en fort relief figurant un important maskeron de déesse antique (Héra, Déméter ou une muse) couronnant le sommet, flanqué de part et d’autre par deux griffons héraldiques aux ailes déployées. La façade rectangulaire de la structure est entièrement ornée d’une délicate et profonde gravure ciselée de rinceaux et d’arabesques florales. Le tablier inférieur ajouré présente un visage de chérubin (putto) en relief, soutenu par deux pieds en volutes. Sa béquille arrière robuste gravée en suite intègre une charnière d’origine, offrant une stabilité parfaite pour accueillir de grands formats ou des miroirs anciens.
