The richly gilded wooden frame with a carved bow-garland crown, laurel leaf, and pearl string borders contrasts with luxurious, deep blue and gold damask (jacquard) upholstery, creating a festive, almost palace-worthy atmosphere.

Period of manufacture, art style, era
The set is made in the (Neoclassical) style, reflecting the festive elegance of late 18th-century court furniture — straight, fluted tapered legs, bow motifs, laurel garlands; the manufacture is attributable to the late 19th or 20th century as a quality work of historical style. The frames are gilded (gilded wood) with a warm sheen. The bow crowns of the backrests, laurel and pearl borders, and rosette carvings on the leg capitals are true woodcarving, executed plastically and deeply.
Snapshot of the era: Jacques-Louis David paused for a moment in the semi-darkness of his Paris studio, still holding charcoal and a sketch sheet. Beyond the tall windows, the evening light gilded the sea of rooftops, and somewhere down in the street, carriages rumbled. In the depths of the room, against the wall, the contours of gold lines and the shimmer of deep blue fabric faintly gleamed in the candlelight — the bow shape and laurel wreaths, frozen in half-shadow. His fingers briefly brushed over the cool, gilded volute of the armrest, and he felt the same noble, classical measure that his paintings strove for — the antique clarity that brought order to a restless era. In this festive harmony of gold and blue resided the majestic dream of ancient Rome that defined the entire epoch.
Manufacturer and mark
The set was made in a European (most likely ) artisan workshop; there is no manufacturer’s stamp or mark. The quality of the gilding and carving indicates a good salon furniture workshop.
Rarity and significance
Complete, large-sized gilded salon sets with a three-seater sofa and two armchairs are rare and sought after — their monumentality and the labor-intensive gilding make them a representative centerpiece for an interior. Here, all three pieces retain a unified stylistic coherence and harmonious damask upholstery.
Application in interior design and photography
The set serves as a dominant accent in a representative living room, salon, hall, or by a fireplace. The gilded wood and deep blue with gold damask fit perfectly into a classic , château, or boldly eclectic interior, where it acts as a festive, almost throne-like center. The combination of gold and blue is particularly advantageous for photography and interior styling.
Gift and personalization
An impressive gift for a lover of style, a fan of château style, or anyone who appreciates the festive luxury of the era.
Condition
The set is in good overall condition, with a vibrant sheen of gilding. The damask upholstery has been well-preserved, with slight signs of age and use on the surface. The gilded wood shows normal wear consistent with age — individual minor abrasions and scratches to the gilding, especially on the legs and corners, which are appropriate for the age of the items. The condition of the items is fully reflected in the photographs.
