Antīks sarkankoka galdiņš ar intarsijām un bronzas apkalumiem — Luija XV stilā

A snapshot of the boudoir era, Princesse de Lamballe:

The serene quiet of the afternoon envelops a small garden pavilion, where sunbeams play with the fringes of brocade curtains and illuminate the soft pastel cushions of armchairs. On a small, finely carved console table rest two white objects, their immaculate surfaces adorned with delicate blue tendrils painted with a fine brush, reminiscent of freshly picked wildflowers. Slender, aristocratic fingers lightly grasp the unusually embossed, gold-accented handle, lifting the vessel to the light like a fragile work of art.

A sweet scent of amber and freshly brewed hot chocolate wafts through the room, flowing from the thin edges of porcelain, creating a cozy and peaceful atmosphere. These blue ribbons, tied in perfect knots, and delicate floral motifs embody the era’s characteristic love of nature and serene grandeur of Neoclassicism. The sun slowly descends, leaving bright golden line reflections on the white background of the saucer, which holds the former splendor and unattainable elegance of the court.

Craftsmanship & Period

Period of Manufacture This piece was crafted in the mid-20th century in France, in the aesthetic of the Louis XV style, precisely and with great reverence for historical traditions, replicating the classical Rococo forms and delicate finishes of 18th-century furniture.

Maker / Signature / Mark

Manufacturer / Signature / Mark There are no direct manufacturer’s marks or signatures on the table’s body. However, the high quality of the mahogany veneer, the precisely executed marquetry, and the detailed bronze mounts clearly indicate the work of a professional furniture workshop specializing in the production of historical style furniture.

Rarity & Significance

Rarity and Significance The primary value of this item lies in its two-tiered round structure and exquisite decorative elements. The top surface is adorned with a magnificent, multi-colored floral marquetry (marquetry) with a prominent rose and leaf motif in the center, framed by a decorative band. Both the top surface and the lower mahogany shelf are surrounded by a perforated bronze (brass) border or gallery. The table’s body and flowing cabriole legs are decorated with cast bronze mounts — rocaille-style scrolls on the front of the drawer, as well as long leg protectors that terminate in bronze sabots.

Application & Interior Use

Application This table is an excellent and versatile accent piece for any classic, eclectic, or Chateau style living room, bedroom as a nightstand, or boudoir. It will serve as an elegant coffee, tea, or lamp table, adding a distinct elegance and aristocratic ambiance to the space.

Condition

Condition The furniture is in excellent historical and visual condition. The mahogany body and slender legs are completely stable and firm. The marquetry design is fully intact, and the lacquer has retained its depth and luster. The drawer opens easily and smoothly, all bronze details and borders are securely fixed and retain a pleasant sheen. The condition of the item is fully reflected in the photographs.
