Description
Antique neo-renaissance oak one-door cabinet / chest of drawers — Henri II style
A monumental, richly decorated one-door cabinet (chest of drawers) from the late 19th century, a superb example of historicism in the neo-renaissance style (antique neo-renaissance carved oak cabinet). The piece is crafted from noble solid oak wood with a beautiful texture and a warm reddish-brown hue. The central part of the door is adorned with deep relief carvings in an octagonal medallion with a lush acanthus leaf rosette, surrounded by geometric profiles. The facade is framed on the sides by two freestanding columns with elegant Corinthian capitals and fluted shafts. The side panels feature decorative arched niches with a classic shell motif (palmette). The lower plinth is decorated with rhythmic carvings. The piece is in excellent condition, the lock is original, complete with a key with a green tassel. Thanks to its compact width (only 87 cm), the cabinet will easily fit into a modern classic interior. Dimensions: Height — 102.5 cm Width — 87 cm Depth — 43.5 cm Top surface — 74 × 43.5 cm
