A subtle aroma of powder, freshly cut roses, and French essences still drifted through the air, remaining from the clamor of the recently concluded ball. In the center of the room, alongside an antique fireplace, stood two uncommonly stately and light-catching chairs, whose regal gilding even in this twilight seemed to preserve the day’s brilliance and the endless majesty of Parisian high society.
This charming, visually magnificent, and distinctly grezni krēsli ar roku balstiem pair is a splendid manifestation of the Rococo Revival or Louis XV style traditions. The solid wood frames are finished in a high-grade gold-leaf coating, masterfully patinated within the deeper crevices to establish a striking three-dimensional depth and authentic antique charm. The crest rail, front apron, and armrest scrolls are adorned with delicate, hand-carved floral buds and rocaille motifs.
The crowning glory of these chairs lies within their regal upholstery—an exquisite, light-reflecting aqua/mint silk damask fabric. Both the seat and backrest display a perfectly centered woven motif of a magnificent floral bouquet resting in an antique urn, elegantly secured with rows of classic gilded upholstery tacks along the borders. Thanks to their well-thought-out proportions, these chairs provide exceptionally comfortable, ergonomic, and relaxing seating. The frames are heavy, structurally solid, and completely stable. The chairs are in excellent, meticulously maintained, and clean historical vintage condition. The condition is fully supported by the provided photographs.
