It was a masterfully cast iron flower table, in whose bronzed scrolls cherubs played, as if trying to lift the black wooden surface towards the light. The artist, whose brush and pencil had captured both the splendor of the imperial court and harsh battle scenes, admired this interplay of materials\u2014how cold and heavy cast iron in the hands of a master could turn into such an airy, breathing Neorococo fantasy.<\/i><\/p>\n
He dipped his brush into the paint to transfer this elegance onto paper. This table, with its lush bouquet of flowers, was not just an interior piece; it was a mirror of the era, blending the 19th-century bourgeoisie’s desire for luxury with an enduring love for the harmony of nature and art, which he so wanted to convey to his readers.<\/i><\/p>\nAntique Bronzed Flower Table with Cherubs in Neorococo Style<\/b><\/h2>\n
This luxurious and expressive flower table (jardiniere \/ plant stand) is an outstanding example of Western European casting from the 19th century<\/b>, created in the lavish Neorococo<\/b> style. Its base is made of heavy , skillfully coated with a bronze finish, creating the illusion of precious metal. At the center of the design are three gracefully curved legs, decorated with rich acanthus leaf scrolls and three-dimensional, masterfully crafted figures of cherubs (putti). The top of the table is finished with a round black wooden surface, whose restrained and dark tone perfectly highlights the luxury of the gilded metal lace.<\/p>\n
The table dates back to the 19th century<\/b>. During this period, with the development of technology, it became possible to create extremely detailed and complex interior items that imitated expensive bronze. The Neorococo style, with its asymmetrical, nature-inspired forms and angel motifs, was highly sought after in European manors and bourgeois salons.<\/p>\n
Thanks to its stable weight and exquisite design, this table is ideally suited for displaying a large bouquet of flowers, a luxurious potted plant, or a sculpture. The table is in very good historical condition. The is intact and stable. The bronzing has a natural, very beautiful age patina and slight signs of time in places, which only confirms the authenticity of the item and gives it a special vintage charm.
