Vers 1820\u20131850.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Un raffin\u00e9 tabouret cylindrique (<em>tabouret tambour<\/em>) avec un habillage en m\u00e9tal dor\u00e9 (<em>t\u00f4le dor\u00e9e<\/em>) sur un corps en bois massif \u2014 l&#8217;un des types de si\u00e8ges les plus \u00e9l\u00e9gants et les plus rares de l&#8217;\u00e8re <strong>Empire<\/strong>, autrefois pr\u00e9sent dans les plus beaux salons de Paris et de Milan. Les bords sup\u00e9rieur et inf\u00e9rieur du cylindre sont ceintur\u00e9s d&#8217;un relief de corde torsad\u00e9e (<em>corde tordue<\/em>), pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment model\u00e9e en m\u00e9tal et dor\u00e9e. La pi\u00e8ce ma\u00eetresse : une hardie composition tridimensionnelle de corde torsad\u00e9e aux <strong>glands<\/strong> pendant, comme s&#8217;ils tombaient du cordon enroul\u00e9 autour du corps \u2014 un motif textile napol\u00e9onien aim\u00e9, traduit en or. La base est une solide plateforme ronde en bois avec une moulure de corde assortie. Le si\u00e8ge circulaire est doucement rembourr\u00e9 et recouvert de cuir ou similicuir de couleur cognac chaud, fini par un rang de clous dor\u00e9s (<em>clous dor\u00e9s<\/em>) en bordure rythmique d\u00e9licate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Le tabouret est sensiblement lourd \u2014 le corps int\u00e9rieur en bois massif, le rev\u00eatement m\u00e9tallique en <em>t\u00f4le<\/em> de substantielle \u00e9paisseur.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><em>\ud83c\uddeb\ud83c\uddf7 Instantan\u00e9 de l&#8217;\u00e9poque Empire :<\/em> \u00c0 Milan, au printemps 1824, l&#8217;\u00e9crivain Stendhal venait de rentrer d&#8217;une nouvelle soir\u00e9e \u00e0 <em>La Scala<\/em> et s&#8217;installa dans son appartement sur un petit tabouret dor\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de la fen\u00eatre \u2014 tout comme des dizaines d&#8217;autres \u00e0 travers la ville ce m\u00eame soir. Il ouvrit son journal et \u00e9crivit un seul mot. Puis il le referma.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>Fabricant et marques.<\/strong> Aucun poin\u00e7on n&#8217;est visible sur les photographies. La qualit\u00e9 de l&#8217;ex\u00e9cution indique un atelier parisien ou milanais de haute facture sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 dans les meubles et objets d\u00e9coratifs en <em>t\u00f4le dor\u00e9e<\/em> \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9poque <strong>Empire<\/strong> et <strong>Restauration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>Raret\u00e9 et importance.<\/strong> Les tabourets de type <em>tambour<\/em> en <em>t\u00f4le dor\u00e9e<\/em> avec relief de glands sont exceptionnellement rares sur le march\u00e9 des antiquit\u00e9s. Le motif des glands est un symbole direct de l&#8217;\u00e8re <strong>napol\u00e9onienne<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>Utilisation en d\u00e9coration et photographie.<\/strong> Le tabouret convient parfaitement comme si\u00e8ge d&#8217;accent dans un salon, une chambre ou un dressing classique ou \u00e9clectique.
